What will happen to your business if you suffer a serious illness? Learn how you can protect yourself from losing your business in the event of a serious illness at a special program being presented by Elite Benefits on May 17 at 11:30 am in New Lenox.
Butch Zemar, Chief Officer at Elite Benefits of America and LaRoy Mack of LDM Consultants will discuss what you need to make sure your business will remain in business if you suffer from a serious medical event such as heart attack, cancer or stroke.
“Many current insurance plans don’t pay for these qualifying events and business owners are forced to step away from daily operations for a short-term or worse, sell or close their business,” said Zemar. “There are many affordable options available to small business owners.”
Medical bankruptcies are on a rise according to a Harvard University study. Updated in 2009, they indicated that 62% of bankruptcies are due to medical bankruptcies. The study also mentioned that medical expenses reached an out-of-pocket of just under $14,000. This includes deductibles, co-pays and services not covered by insurance. There are services not covered by insurance.
The program will be held at Little Joe’s Restaurante, 1300 N. Cedar Road in New Lenox. The cost is $12 cash at the door an it includes lunch. To make a reservation or to schedule a business insurance review, call Butch Zemar, Elite Benefits of America at 708-535-3006.
